How to Photograph Architecture: Master Class with Iwan Baan

“My driving force is curiosity. That first glimpse of a place I’ve never been to before, being able to see and feel what’s going on around me, how cities grow, change and differentiate themselves from each other, is very important to me”. Iwan Baan mostly spends his life on the road. He collaborates with the world’s architectural stars, who wait in line for him to photograph their finished projects. Equally, he captures life in slums and dilapidated houses, redefining what can be regarded as architecture with his documentary approach. In either case, there is always an emphasis on the dialogue between the site and the building. In the unconventional format of a morning Master Class, Iwan Baan will describe his first steps and the path to success. He will then guide you through his Prague Diary exhibition.
