Jumping on a subway or tram and just driving off! That's a dream for many people. Fortunately, the gaming world makes it possible. And that's not all. In addition to driving, you can build railways around the world and play not only as a train driver, but also as a transportation engineer. Transport simulations are very popular and, since their inception, have also been very successful and convincing. We talked to their creators and gaming experts about how faithful copies of real transport systems and vehicles are created, where the creators get their inspiration, and how they differ. During the last event of 2025, we looked at the lines of code of the Czech games Back in Service and Simt Simulator directly with their creators—Tomáš Faina and Dominik Vojta. Jaromír Mowald, host of the gaming show Quest, then guided us through the iconic simulators that have made gaming history.
