CAMP Tour: From Lihovar to Smíchov City

The area around Nádražní Street is among Prague's most significant brownfields – former industrial sites that now await transformation. This location is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment as the new Smíchov City neighborhood takes shape, featuring a planned park designed as a wide, nearly kilometer-long urban boulevard. The railway junction is being modernized, including the Praha-Smíchov transport terminal, which will provide barrier-free platform access and a bus station integrated directly into the building's rooftop. Dvorecký Bridge will further enhance the area's connectivity, strengthening tram links while offering new routes for pedestrians and cyclists. Guide Lenka Hubáčková will present the key projects transforming this district during our guided walk.

Practical information:

  • The walk is designed primarily for seniors; registration takes place through the reservation system of the Elpida Educational and Cultural Center.
  • The commentary takes place in public space, i.e., in a relatively noisy environment.
  • Meeting point at 9:50 before the start of the event at the Lihovar tram stop (direction city center).
  • The route is approximately 3.5 km long; the walk ends at Anděl metro station, Na Knížecí entrance.
  • The walk will last approximately 2 hours.
