Catharsis and emotional release. The opening night of the Lunchmeat Festival 2024 reflects the personal and artistic journey of Ukrainian violinist @katarinagryvul and Peruvian visual artist @alex.g.u.e.v.a.r.a. Their performance was developed as part of the Rybačka initiative with Mariana Berezovska, editor of Borshch magazine, and supported by Berlin's @ctmfestival. Katarina uses recordings of her heavy, anxious breathing from the first panic attacks she experienced when Russia invaded Ukraine. The visuals reflect Alex's chaotic nature, while Katarina's music provides the ease that allows for these events to be processed and translated.
