The City in your Hands

Would you like to join us in discovering the city we live in? How does it work and how is it constantly changing? Would you like to know who actually plans the city and who decides where parks, streets, playgrounds and schools will be built? How does the work of an architect differ from that of an urban planner? And who are we actually building cities for?

Come and create a city according to your own ideas! We will explore, draw, plan and think about how to improve Prague. We will search through maps, discover new connections and current trends, and work on a real area that is about to undergo transformation. We will focus on the new Bubny-Zátory district – an area within Prague that has long been perceived as a forgotten place. Together, we will look for ways to revitalise this ‘inner periphery’ and naturally integrate it into the organism of the vibrant metropolis.

In the first half of the 2025/26 school year, we are reopening a creative club at CAMP, which will traditionally focus on the city and everything related to it. Children will try their hand at being architects, urban planners, landscape architects or designers. The club is intended for children who think a lot, have a rich imagination, and enjoy drawing and creating.

Practical information:

  • The programme is intended for children aged 8 to 12.
  • Children meet every Thursday at 3 p.m. at CAMP. - The programme lasts 2 hours in our workshop. We also take the children on trips around the city.
