A green oasis in the heart of the metropolis, where history meets everyday life, is awaiting a major transformation. The current appearance of the square, designed in the 19th century by architect František Thomayer, has undergone only minor changes since then. In 2018, an international competition was held, resulting in the winning design by Rehwaldt Landscape Architects + BY architects + PD Filip. This design sets the direction for the comprehensive revitalization of Prague's largest square. During the lecture, the complete management plan and the zero stage, which will launch the actual renovation of the park, will be shown. The latest information on the next steps of the project and what the transformation will bring to local residents, visitors, and the surrounding areas will be presented.
