Memoirs of the chief architect

How was the Prague of the normalization era planned? Why is the Palace of Culture found in Pankrác? Did the train station in Těšnov really have to be demolished? This and other questions are answered in the newly-published memoir of the architect Blahomír Borovička, who headed up the Prague city chief architect’s office for almost two decades. The launch will feature a discussion with the editors of the book, Martina Koukalová (IPR Prague) and Petr Roubal (Institute for Contemporary History of the Academy of Sciences).
