The city is a large and slow organism. Before he says "new bridge", we manage to change jobs and often partners. The idea of a "ring road" lasts, for example (in Prague), over 40 years, so statistically half of the population dies. Therefore, no one can understand the city well enough, yet we rightly demand that its development be guided. How to listen to the city better and how to understand our small role in it will be outlined in a series of lectures by Tomáš Hudeček, former mayor, associate professor of urban planning and now also director of the newly established Urban Development Section at IPR Prague. The first lecture will be about the city as a living organism or an introduction to urban science.
