The work of the Renzo Piano Building Workshop (RPBW) is characterized by its commitment to creating dynamic, human-centered spaces. Groundbreaking projects such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Jean-Marie Tjibaou Cultural Centre in Nouméa and the Kansai International Airport in Osaka have defined the studio's architectural DNA. Through these and other projects, RPBW has developed a design language characterized by a commitment to lightness, vibrant public spaces, structural innovation, and a focus on movement and the human experience of place. Albert Giralt, Partner at RPBW, talked about the studio's design philosophy and workflow and offered insight into the studio through key case studies such as Paddington Square, The Shard/London Bridge Quarter and Marunouchi Tokio Marine.
