Prague continues to develop, both through new urban neighborhoods and the renewal of existing ones. Whether it involves housing development or recreational spaces, it is always the result of thoughtful planning. How are documents such as zoning or master plans created, and what is their purpose? What changes will the Metropolitan Plan bring, which aims to define a clear city boundary and distinguish between where construction is permitted and where it is not? How should city boundaries be defined at all, and which areas should still be developed? What impact does Prague’s growth have on the cities in its vicinity? In the second discussion accompanying the Planeta Praha exhibition, these topics were discussed by Anna Kuryviálová from IPR Prague, architect and urban planner Pavel Hnilička, and social anthropologist Radan Hauzík.
