Is it good and beneficial to build with wood in cities? How can modern wood architecture in residential and public buildings make urban environments more pleasant for people and improve life there? How does one live, work or learn in a modern wood building? German architect, Professor Felix Waechter from Waechter + Waechter Architekten BDA, will discuss the growing global trend of building with wood, drawing from examples such as the wooden community center they designed in Neuwied, Germany. A short introductory presentation will be given by architect Pavel Horák, who will present Czech modern wood architecture.
