Think that large buildings can't be built from wood? Reiulf Ramstad and Helmut Dietrich will show you otherwise. The studio of Norwegian architect Reiulf Ramstad, Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter, built the Romsdal Folk Museum, the largest wooden building in Norway at the time of its construction. Reiulf Ramstad will share his experience alongside Helmut Dietrich, a pioneer in large-scale projects with wood. His studio Dietrich | Untertrifaller Architekten designed, for example, the new pavilion at the Olympic Stadium in Munich, which used more than five thousand cubic meters of wood in its construction. The Urban Talks lecture, organised by Salon dřevostaveb (Wood Building Salon), will show how today's approach to architecture is changing. A talk from Matyáš Cigler entitled "Wooden Architecture: Context and Presence" will introduce the presentations from the visiting architects.
The event is organised in cooperation with Salon dřevostaveb.
