Norwegian studio Snøhetta designs everything from new banknotes and chairs recycled from fishing nets to large public buildings in the world's capitals. The World Architecture Festival Award was among the numerous awards it won for projects like the famous Oslo Opera House and the Library of Alexandria in Egypt. In addition, it contributed to the Lillehammer Museum of Art and the September 11 Memorial in New York. For Snøhetta, social interaction and the combination of traditional craftsmanship with the latest technology are important. The studio already brings together more than 240 designers from 32 countries who work on projects worldwide. Architect Jenny B. Osuldsen will be coming to give a talk on this ever-evolving company.
