American studio SO-IL wants to build in an environmentally friendly way. Not to take energy sources for granted. To integrate new houses into the surrounding development so that they interact with each other whilst also differentiating themselves. How to tackle these challenges? Florian Idenburg, one of the directors and founders of the studio, will answer this in the next Urban Talks. He founded the studio together with Jing Liu in 2008. Their architecture will impress you with its ingeniously designed façades and the dynamics of the spaces, which use contrasting materials. We will also discuss their recently opened complex of three gallery buildings, the creative hub Amant in North Brooklyn, and the social housing in León, Mexico.
