The Olověný Fuchs f Kleci exhibition came about from three architectural student competitions—Ještěd f Kleci (Faculty of Arts and Architecture, Technical University Liberec), Olověný Dušan (Faculty of Architecture, Czech Technical University in Prague), and the Bohuslav Fuchs’ prize (Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology). These three competitions were organized by the students themselves to obtain external feedback on their colleges.

These competitions were created and developed independently over time, preceding the collective exhibition by many years. The exhibition put all three competitions side by side to ask what kind of projects are born at these institutions and why.

The exhibition featured a parallel programme, whose main objective was panel discussions between university representatives, students, professors / architects and faculty heads as well as guests from foreign architectural colleges. The accompanying programme included several events focusing on education in architecture, open to professionals and the public alike.

The collaboration between three student associations—AUF from the Faculty of Art and Architecture in Liberec, SOFA from the Faculty of Architecture in Brno, and SPA from the Faculty of Architecture in Prague—had been unprecedented, not only for students and educators, but also for the public with an interest in architectural education. Three established student competitions from the largest institutions in our country participated in the event, along with other architectural schools involved in the discussion program.
