What do Prague’s embankments look like today — and what might they become? This exhibition presented projects by architecture students who turned their attention to the area in front of Štefánik Bridge. Although situated where the historic city walls once ended, the site rivals the prominence of the National Theatre precinct, yet remains neglected and overlooked. The absence of a true public square has allowed automobile traffic to dominate the area, limiting the free movement of pedestrians.

Drawing inspiration from Prague’s pre-war urban development, the students proposed introducing significant public institutions into the space. Their projects explored possibilities for a library, gallery, ministry, and museum, envisioning the embankment as a vibrant civic destination once again.
