Jiřího z Poděbrad Square is a lively square where farmers' markets and other cultural events are regularly held. Its revitalization envisages supporting these activities and creating adequate facilities for their further development. The reconstruction of the Jiřího z Poděbrad metro station is currently underway and should be completed by the end of this year. The revitalization of Náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad square should directly follow. In addition to the planting of more than 100 trees, it will also include a rainwater management system. The rainwater will be captured in retention tanks and then used for irrigation. The overall revitalization will also build on some completed smaller modifications - new pedestrian crossings, expanded tram islands and other modifications around the intersection of Vinohradská and U Vodárny streets. These improvements will be reinforced by additional pedestrian connections during the revitalization process.
