The main focus of the proposed project is a sports and arts complex centered around the Bubec sculpture studio and five smaller ancillary buildings. Together, these structures create a loose, newly formed space: a public park. Each building serves a different function. The first initiative to revitalize the area in the southern part of Řeporyje will be a cultural and sports center. This building will serve as a meeting place for local athletes and artists and will provide a suitable venue for residents’ leisure activities. Due to the high demand for exhibitions, workshops, and family gatherings, studios for emerging and visiting artists have been designed here. Visitors can also take advantage of the newly established lodging facilities. The fourth structure is a garden house, known as “Babybubec,” which will primarily serve to educate children in the areas of gardening, plant care, and an appreciation for the landscape. The final element in the composition is a recreational observation gazebo on the southern edge of the site. The buildings will primarily be single-story, with a maximum of two stories; their design draws on the local typology of sloped roofs, small-scale structures, and traditionally used materials such as plaster, stone, and wood.

The most striking feature in the area is the existing Bubec Art Center. This double-hall complex by sculptor Čestmír Suška breathes new life into a former steel tank, wooden logs, and other rusted materials. Serving as a workshop, gallery, and—above all—a place for people to gather, it is the nucleus of a new creative space.

The sports and arts center building is designed as a two-story structure with an attic; the space is intended for exhibitions and social events and functions as a concert hall, sports hall, and theater venue. The facility will also feature a café serving light refreshments. On the second floor, there is an office and facilities for exhibitions and sports. It is a community-oriented building for the local community.

The two-story building housing artists’ studios in the western part of the site is constructed from shipping containers and adapted for artists working with various materials. Each studio is accessible from a shared gallery walkway. The structure can be relocated or divided into several smaller units.

A single-story artists’ residence with a sloped roof will provide lodging for visiting artists and athletes. An outdoor parking lot will be built next to the structure, which will serve the entire site. The site manager will also be housed in this building.

The single-story building, the “Babybubec” garden house, is currently used for storage and as a garden facility. The space should serve as a facility for educational children’s activities and instruction in gardening and homemaking. The local community learns how to grow various types of plants here. The garden is also used for recreational purposes and is adorned with sculptures. Art workshops will be held here on weekends.

The simple wooden structure of the summer terrace and garden gazebo should serve as a lookout point—a site-specific art installation that will highlight and enhance the view of Dalejský Hill. Artistic street furniture will be placed here.
