The HAPPI Milánská apartment building is planned for Horní Měcholupy in Prague, where it will connect to Milánská Street. The accentuated profile of the building’s northern corner responds to the town hall across the street, spatially mirroring it with its edges. The building is designed in an L-shaped floor plan, with its residential section facing an open and peaceful courtyard featuring greenery and a favorable southwest orientation. The main residential section of the building, with its façade and the horizontal lines of the balconies, responds to the dynamic element of the roadway. The orthogonally shaped form of the building, composed of interlocking blocks, corresponds to the character and structure of the surrounding development. The façade’s material treatment follows the building’s structural division. The simple white color, combined with the strictly geometric placement of windows and doors, is complemented on the recessed facade by plaster in the color and texture of concrete, featuring projecting loggias and balconies constructed from precast concrete elements. The apartment building will provide 73 residential units and 3 commercial spaces. Near the project is Hostivař Forest Park with its reservoir, which is ideal for a wide range of sports activities. The area also boasts excellent community amenities, offering residents the opportunity for comfortable living in a constantly developing neighborhood.
