The new UCT building will become part of the overall completion of the fourth quadrant within the Fourth Quadrant development project (designed by Benthem Crouwel Architects and OV Architekti) and will connect the existing Dejvice university campus with the new development.

The winning design was submitted by the consortium of ra15 and mackovič architecture, which the jury praised for its strong volumetric design, clear layout, and effective handling of the parterre at the beginning of the campus’s main axis. The three-story building with a cubic volume is distinguished by an inserted “superfloor” designed to facilitate interaction between the academic and office-related floors. Second place went to the team of architects Vít Forman, Matěj Štěpánek, Tomáš Korch, and Jan Stibral, while third place was awarded to the Sadovsky & Architects studio.

The estimated construction cost is 1.4 billion crowns, excluding value-added tax. The university will now begin negotiations on preparing the documentation for the building permit, with construction itself scheduled for 2029 through 2031.

On 28 July 2026, a meeting was held that officially launched the design phase for the new university building on Vítězné náměstí square. The event followed the results of the international architectural competition and the completion of negotiations with the authors of the winning design from the consortium of ra15 and mackovič architecture.
