A parking lot is currently located in the unusual recess of the street profile where Jičínská Street meets the complex space of Olšanské Square. As part of the planned traffic calming measures at the Olšanská intersection, a sloped piazzetta is proposed along Jičínská Street, connecting to the ground-floor retail spaces of the adjacent apartment buildings. This sloped public space is partially leveled by several seating platforms, which allow the seasonal activities of the adjacent cafés and restaurants to expand. A significant new feature of the piazzetta is the planting of trees, which help create a pleasant microclimate in the surrounding area. The material scheme draws on traditional Prague granite mosaic, solid granite blocks in high-traffic areas, and precast concrete elements defining the space of the designed platforms. The entire piazzetta is fully equipped with new municipal street furniture. The high concentration of residents, students, athletes, shoppers, hotel guests, and visitors to the Olšany Cemetery offers great potential for the development of the entire Olšanské Square area and its immediate surroundings.

Although the lower section of Ondříčkova Street serves as an important link between Žižkov and Olšanské Square, its current state does not reflect this role. A fundamental functional problem is the absence of a pedestrian path along the Bezovka Shopping Center building; combined with the delivery ramp, this creates a non-passable and completely dysfunctional public space. The proposal therefore first and foremost addresses this functional shortcoming, and in conjunction with the new lane configuration, a small tree-lined island will also be created in this section. Along the side facade of the SUPŠ building, we propose a new tranquil public space within the local widening of Ondříčkova Street. A relatively wide strip, matching the width of the existing sidewalk, is reimagined as a combination of a pedestrian walkway and a park. The existing trees will be preserved and supplemented with new ones within an area defined by a combination of several types of permeable paving to improve drainage conditions and the overall atmosphere. This new public space is complemented by benches and other municipal street furniture and is lined on both sides by sidewalks made of typical Prague granite mosaic.
