The goal of the construction of the new Správa železnic Headquarters is to create a central facility that not only meets current requirements for the building’s architectural, technical, and operational design, but also increases the efficiency and flexibility of work processes and, overall, embodies the Railway Administration’s vision for the future as the manager of a comprehensive transportation system for the 21st century. At the same time, the headquarters will be designed to embody the principles of environmental friendliness and sustainability.

It is anticipated that the headquarters will house the General Directorate of the Railway Administration and five organizational units with a total of approximately 1,350 employees. The client prefers to locate the General Directorate (GD) in a separate building with the possibility of connecting to other structures (e.g., via lightweight structures). These buildings are expected to house the Western Construction Administration (SSZ), the Telematics and Diagnostics Center (CTD), the Railway Geodesy Administration (SŽG), the Shared Services Center (CSS), and the Fire and Rescue Service (HZS).

The proposed buildings unify the entire organization, streamline functional and operational objectives, and create an excellent work environment focused on collaboration, efficiency, productivity, and well-being. With its exceptional emphasis on sustainability in terms of operational and energy consumption, this design embodies the spirit of the Czech railways. At the heart of the project is flexibility and adaptability, which will enable the organization to respond to the challenges and opportunities it faces.
