In the fall of 2025, the Prague 2 City District launched the planned revitalization of the U Draka playground in Riegrovy Sady. The district councilors decided on the selection of the contractor at their fall meeting—Gardenline s.r.o. was awarded the public contract. The estimated completion date for the project is July 2026.

As part of the planned modernization, not only will the existing play equipment be replaced, but the playground furnishings will also be updated, and the facility manager's house will be repaired. The work will also include landscaping and the planting of new trees. In this regard, the Prague 2 City Hall estimates the costs at 32.6 million crowns, excluding value added tax.

The playground was reopened to the public on 24 June 2026, following the renovation.
