Train dispatcher Alois Nebel lives a quiet life at the Bílý Potok Railway Station in the Jeseníky Mountains. Until the moment his peaceful days are disturbed by strange hallucinations. Dorothe, a woman who was a victim of the forced transfer of ethnic Germans after the Second World War, appears in them. When the mysterious Mute arrives at the station seeking revenge for his mother, Nebel’s world begins to crumble. After a mental breakdown and the loss of his job, he travels to Prague, where he finds love with Květa, a toilet attendant. However, the past catches up with him again and he decides to return to the mountains to confront his dark memories.
