At that time, almost every child in Czechia started skating and learning to play hockey. The Olympic hockey tournament of the century in Nagano became a major event not only in the world of sports, but above all for our entire nation. The decisive match on 22 February 1998 was attended by NHL players, and spectators watched icons such as Wayne Gretzky, Pavel Bure, Saku Koivu, Teemu Selänne, Sergei Fyodorov, and Eric Lindros compete against each other. However, few expected that the most valuable trophy would ultimately be lifted by a team from a tiny country in the middle of Europe. The documentary recalls key moments in modern history, captures the disillusioned mood of society in the late 1990s, and at the same time brings the life stories of the players themselves closer to the viewer.
