Art Workshop: Create a Mural for Prague

Bridge arches, railway underpasses, and passages are often full of paintings and text, but where did they come from and who is behind them? They're usually created by street artists - mural creators. A mural is a large-scale wall painting created directly in public space. It often relates to the place where it's located, and artists use it to express their views on current topics or problems. It's no coincidence that the first murals were created as protests against lack of freedom, poverty, or social inequalities. In the workshop, we'll create a design for our own mural. We'll learn how to make it legible and distinctive, talk about the difference between street art and vandalism, and try working with spray cans. Together, let's show the world what bothers us in the city or what brings us joy! We'll be inspired by engaging street art works and the exhibition Prague Tomorrow? Connected City.
