The infamous Kuncovka in Brno becomes the scene of a cruel drama. Its residents decide to resist the oppression and harassment by the worker hostel owner, and their fight for basic living conditions gradually draws them into seemingly hopeless situations. It becomes clear that this is not just a confrontation with one person, but with an entire system of public institutions that enables such behavior. This time-lapse documentary, focused on so-called 'predatory houses,' dives into the world of poverty exploitation and won the main prize in the Czech Joy competition at the 28th Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival.
