Wilderness can be an unplanned, spontaneous and surprising element of the urban landscape. So says Martin Schmitz, a representative of the Berlin-based landscape studio Loidl. His lecture, titled "Wilderness and the City", will address the topic of wilderness within the urban environment: where to find it, which tools to use to create it and how to preserve it. The second part of the lecture evening will feature a presentation by landscape architect and horticulturist Ondřej Fous. His presentation, titled "The Survival of the Urban Park", will focus on green public spaces and their transformations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is organized by KRUH.
The lecture will be in English.
