KRUH: Georges Descombes and Klára Salzmann

How is the landscape around us changing—and how are we changing it in return? Two perspectives on the relationship between nature, cities, and everyday life will be offered by Swiss architect Georges Descombes and Czech landscape architect Klára Salzmann. Together, they’ll reflect on how to work with waterways while balancing the needs of people and nature. Georges Descombes will present the Aire River restoration in Geneva as an example of a public space shaped by natural processes—a place that continuously evolves and is never truly finished. Klára Salzmann will follow with thoughts on systemic water regeneration in the landscape as a necessary condition for life, biodiversity, and the future of public space.

Practical information:

  • The lecture will be held in English.
  • Organized by Kruh in cooperation with the Czech Chamber of Architects.
