How can a new square be created in the heart of a historic city center? During a masterclass, Anders Lonka, founding partner of the ADEPT studio, will present the winning design for the new layout of the space in front of the Fairmont Golden Prague Hotel, which seamlessly connects to Pařížská Street and the surrounding buildings. The event is intended for professionals and will provide a space for discussion on how to design high-quality public spaces sustainably and with respect for history. The square is conceived as a continuous, sculpted landscape that allows for natural movement on foot, by bike, or with a stroller. Greenery, a water feature, and a new pavilion with a walkable roof also play an important role. The individual zones blend naturally, creating a flexible environment that can transform depending on whether you’ve come to the market, a cultural event, or just to sit and relax during a stroll through Prague.
