How is the perception of postwar architecture changing, and how can we preserve its qualities for the 21st century? Come see what the future holds for the former Association of Design Studios complex in Emauzy. Guided tours as part of this year’s Open House Prague festival will focus on the history and structural design of the complex, completed in 1975 according to a design by Karel Prager and Jiří Kadeřábek. Between 2027–2030, the three pavilions of the so-called Prager Cubes will undergo a sensitive renovation based on a design by the IXA studio, while their immediate surroundings and greenery will be redesigned by landscape architects Land05. You will learn more about the bold steel structure and the prefabricated elements from the GAMA system, whose contrast with the heavy bases defines the character of the entire complex. The tour also includes an introductory large-format presentation in the Black Hall and access to the terrace, i.e., the roof of CAMP.
