Sustainable Energy

Is Prague succeeding in meeting the targets of its Climate Plan for 2030? What potential does the Energocentrum project hold, using waste heat from the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, and can the city strengthen its role in district heating once again? How is the development of municipal photovoltaic power plants progressing, and how is electricity sharing advancing through the Prague Renewable Energy Centre? What opportunities are emerging from Metro Line D, EPC projects, and cooperation with ČEZ ESCO? The discussion within the Prague Climate Dialogue will offer an up-to-date overview of specific steps, investments, and strategic partnerships that are intended to contribute to the decarbonization of the city. It will focus on the role of municipal energy companies and on where plans are being successfully put into practice—and where, on the contrary, Prague is reaching its limits.

The following guests have accepted our invitation to participate in the discussion:

  • Jan Chabr / Chairman of the Energy Committee of the Prague City Council
  • Jakub Maščuch / University Center for Energy Efficient Buildings, Czech Technical University
  • Zbyněk Petruška / Head of the Energy Management Department of Prague City Hall, in charge of managing the Prague Renewable Energy Center
  • Martin Bursík / Chairman of the Prague City Council Climate Commission
