Pride, madness and horror—the river as a journey into the heart of darkness. The evening is a part of the accompanying programme of the exhibition Prague Tomorrow? The City and the River. Using the work of the world literature classic Joseph Conrad as an example, we will explore the symbolism of the phenomenon of the river in art. We will hear excerpts from Heart of Darkness and selected excerpts from film adaptations of this most famous book of Conrad's, including other films directly or indirectly inspired by it. The evening will be hosted by writer, screenwriter and curator Eugen Liška.
