The housing crisis is affecting more and more people, yet access to housing is one of the fundamental prerequisites for social sustainability. What tools and strategies can improve the situation? How can we avoid gentrification and commodification of housing? And why is it important to support a diverse population in newly emerging neighborhoods? The next lecture in the Rethink Architecture series will focus on different approaches to addressing these issues. It will present inspiring projects from the Czech Republic and abroad, including buildings with aesthetic and ecological added value. The experiences of people living in cooperative and community forms of housing will also be shared.
The event is organized in cooperation with the Rethink Architecture Institute, under the auspices of the Czech Green Building Council and the Czech Chamber of Architects. The lecture is part of the LIFE ClimArchiBase project, which is co-financed by the European Union and the Ministry of the Environment.
