Tragicomic tales from a Memphis hotel intersect the fates of characters from different parts of the world. The city of Elvis Presley, interpreted by Jim Jarmusch, becomes the backdrop for slow transitions between romance, absurdity, ghost stories and black humour. What do the characters have in common? An outsider's view of America and chance encounters that connect more than they seem.
