The Breda department store in Opava is about to undergo reconstruction. A team of architectural offices from Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia won the international competition. How do these architects think about their work and what do they have in common? OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen (KGDVS) from Brussels are known, for example, for their circular library near Ghent or the Tondo footbridge connecting the Belgian Parliament buildings in Brussels. The Brno-based atelier gram recently won a competition for the reconstruction of the Přerov town hall, and the Slovak collective Spolka focuses on connecting architecture and sociology. Representatives of the teams will present their projects and the joint winning proposal. The evening will be guided by architect and jury member Adam Gebrian.
