Urban Talks: Sarah Whiting

Architecture as a Service
How can we prepare the next generation of architects to combine design excellence with responsibility towards society? How can architectural education nurture empathy, imagination, and reflect current global challenges? In this edition of Urban Talks, Sarah Whiting, Dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Design, will explore how architectural education might address some of the pressing issues of our time. In this tense contemporary context, we revisit the question: What role should architecture play today? And how can a profession that shapes our cities and daily environments contribute to a fairer and more sustainable future?

The lecture will be followed by a discussion with Regina Loukotová, architect, co-founder and rector of the international private school of architecture ARCHIP, and Maria Topolčanská, architect, educator, and former rector of the Academy of Fine Arts.
