Prague is one of the cities with favourable conditions for walking, but it still has room for improvement. How can we contribute to making people feel comfortable and safe on their way to work, school, coffee or the doctor? Answers will be offered at the international conference Walking the City 2025, featuring speakers such as Anni Sinnemäki, Deputy Mayor of Helsinki, who is behind the vision of a carbon-neutral city by 2030, Kristof De Mesmaeker, key strategist of the Good Move sustainable mobility plan in Brussels, and Valentina Orioli, architect and former Member of the Bologna Council for Mobility and Public Space. Ladislav Miko, advisor to the President of the Czech Republic on the environment, and mayors of cities that put walking at the heart of their strategies - Martina Němečková from Planá and Štěpán Pavlík from Tábor - will represent the Czech Republic. The conference is intended for representatives of cities, experts in the field of transport, urban planning, and participation, students and all those who want to contribute to a better life in cities.
