As the reconstruction of the Prager's Cubes begins this summer, this time the camp will take place in the workshop spaces of the renovated H40 hall in the Holešovice Market Hall, Prague 7.
Behind the gates of the Holešovice Market lies a city within a city. How is this former industrial complex transforming, and what might it look like in the future? This year’s camp for older children will take place right on-site. During the first part of the week, we’ll focus on exploring the Market and observing what works well on the grounds and what, on the other hand, needs to change. Together, we’ll identify its strengths and weaknesses and explore how to address them. Using a large collaborative model, we’ll then design our own modifications—ranging from minor adjustments to new structures and transportation solutions.
Our day camp is designed for all young people aged 12–16 who are interested in architecture and the city, enjoy creating, and are eager to come up with something new. Participants should be prepared for the intensive work we’ll be doing throughout the week. We’ll brainstorm, build, discuss, and also go on field trips. We’ll work both independently and in small teams, create 3D models, and test how our ideas function in relation to their surroundings. The program will be led by our experienced instructors.
