New Urban Districts

Over the past three years, the City of Prague has made significant progress in implementing several projects for new urban districts, including the transformation of key areas in major locations. The City Hall plans to address the housing crisis, coordinate and improve new construction, while placing an emphasis on revitalizing public spaces and addressing transportation issues. The most important and largest projects for new neighborhoods and local centers—on which intensive work is currently underway—were presented as part of Prague’s Big Changes by Deputy Mayor for Spatial Development Petr Hlaváček and Deputy Mayor for Transportation Adam Scheinherr.
