In the middle of the dynamically changing Vysočany district, Dvory will soon be built—a comprehensive neighborhood that will combine peaceful living surrounded by greenery and parks with a connection to the center of Prague. How is the redevelopment of this extensive brownfield site progressing? The Dvory Vysočany residential project will offer approximately 1,200 apartments built in several stages, as well as new public spaces designed with an emphasis on the quality of social life. The urban concept is based on the “city for people” approach, which has long been promoted by the project’s co-authors, Jan Gehl and David Sim. Where else does the inspiration for the transformation of such a large area in the middle of the metropolis come from? The discussion evening also presents the urban development and sustainable principles of the project. Representatives of the investor, architects, and the city offer their perspectives.
