The Czech Architecture Award 2025

Architecture can be a source of support. It can create calm, dignity, and space for care—and this year’s Czech Architecture Award winners demonstrate precisely this approach. The main award went to the children’s hospice House for Juliet, the first facility of its kind in the Czech Republic. The project sensitively combines respite care with architecture that promotes contact with nature and a dignified experience of difficult life situations. The expert jury, the public, and the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic agreed on the quality of the design and its attention to detail. The authors are Tomáš Págo, Milan Joja, and Karel Kubza from the ČTYŘSTĚN architekti studio in collaboration with landscape architect Marek Holán.

In addition to the winning project, five other finalists selected from a total of 271 submitted projects and 25 nominations are also on display. These include the reconstruction and extension of the ERA production building, the park on Moravské náměstí in Brno, a family house in Polanka nad Odrou, the Sidonius villa, and the Sklad_13 community center, created by the conversion of a former railway warehouse in Řevnice. Sklad_13 is the first project to receive the Alena Šrámková Award, which was established with the aim of highlighting and supporting the role of women in contemporary architecture. An honorable mention was awarded to the project for a complex of erosion control measures and landscaping in Vohančice.

The Czech Architecture Award is organized by the Czech Chamber of Architects.

The exhibition is open to the public in the White Hall.
