What is Between Houses?

How has the significance of squares, parks, and other public spaces evolved? When and why did new neighborhoods of family homes begin to spring up around cities? And how did the construction of the metro influence the appearance of the city and its surroundings? This time, we will set out with the children to discover how cities and villages have gradually developed from 1989 to the present day. We will focus on public spaces and streets—the places between houses where everyday life takes place. Together, we will explore how new types of buildings such as hotels, banks, and department stores have influenced their surroundings and people’s lives. We will observe the relationship between buildings and public spaces and discover how they shape the city together, how they affect us, and what stories they tell us.
