Czech Radio Studio Building

How did a young architectural studio cope with the expansion of a building that is linked to key moments in our modern history? The new studio building of Czech Radio was created as part of the reconstruction and completion of the historic building on Vinohradská Street, designed by the A.D.N.S. studio. How did the operational requirements of the radio station at the end of the 1990s influence the project? And how has the building fared after thirty years of operation? The architect and co-author of the book DEVADE, Jan Bureš, together with the head of the Czech Radio archive, Tomáš Dufka, will guide you through the building. The tour will also include the opportunity to see the unique system of springs that dampen vibrations from the metro and railway running under the building.
