A former brewery, a vast brownfield site, and a defining landmark of today’s Nusle. This guided tour with architect Ondřej Chybík from the CHYBIK + KRISTOF studio will focus on the transformation of the Nusle Brewery complex and its surroundings—from historic buildings to new streets, squares, and walkways that open up what was once a largely inaccessible area. Together, we will walk through the complex and its connections toward Folimanka Park and observe how the character of the entire area is changing. We will discuss the preservation of the original architecture, the new use of public spaces, and the specific principles shaping the neighborhood—such as the design of the ground level, the wayfinding system, advertising, and the reduction of visual clutter.
