Štvanice Island

The Vltava River and its banks have undergone a significant transformation in recent years. New footbridges, riverfront promenades, and connections between different parts of the city are being built. This guided walk with experts from the IPR Prague Office of Public Space will present a long-term development plan for Prague’s riverbanks. Together, we’ll explore how Prague residents’ relationship with the river is changing, what role the Vltava plays in the city’s development, and how new pedestrian and bicycle connections—such as the Štvanice Footbridge—are influencing daily travel between Karlín, Holešovice, and the city center.
