Did you know that the park at Vyšehrad is watered with water from the Vltava River? How does the water from the river get up so high? At Vyšehrad you will find both Mediterranean cacti and descendants of monumental trees. Join us on an exploration of our national cultural monument Vyšehrad and discover its normally inaccessible pond, inhabited by sturgeons, and the local beehive. Helena Pánková, the park manager, will introduce you to the management of the Vltava water, composts and plant propagation. She will also focus on the current challenges associated with the care of greenery at this historically important site, which is directly managed by an organization created by the City of Prague for this specific purpose.
