Yusuke Kafuku is a famous actor and director who enjoys driving his red Saab 900. During a job at the Hiroshima Festival, he has to begrudgingly leave this joy to a young, soft-spoken driver, Misaki. During their drives to rehearsals, the two unexpectedly discover that it is not only their love of driving that unites them. Together they find a way to deal with their traumas and guilt and move on.
