FA 2024 | Siza + Missing Footsteps

A comprehensive film portrait of one of the world's most important architects, Pritzker Prize winner Álvaro Siza Vieira. This spectacular project by the Portuguese gallery presents Siza's life story through interviews with his family and collaborators. We follow Siza as he still goes to his architectural studio every day at the venerable age of 90, designing, painting, and smoking one cigarette after another. What made Siza the person he is now? The architect opens up to the audience with a glimpse into his troubled childhood and talks about the circumstances that shaped him. Missing Footsteps will be screened as a preview.

The program is part of the Film and Architecture Festival.
