Digitization

City planning, transportation, and artificial intelligence. Can they really work together? Technological development is advancing at a rapid pace and transforming the way large cities are managed. Today, digital tools make it possible to work with extensive data on people’s movements, traffic flows, and the functioning of public services. This is gradually changing the daily agenda of city halls and municipal organizations. How successful are these systems in practice? And where do they encounter limitations? Projects such as Golemio and Portál Pražana show how data and digital services can simplify communication between city administrators and residents. What further steps is Prague preparing in the area of digitization, and what can these changes bring in the future? Deputy Mayors Petr Hlaváček and Jaromír Beránek will discuss these issues as part of the traditional program Prague’s Big Changes.
